Founded in 2007 by Marc Manack and Charles Chambers, SILO AR+D is a full service architecture, research and design practice. More than a single office, SILO is a network of architects and designers whose talents and resources are pooled to meet specific project demands. This business model enables SILO to provide its clients with exceptional service and value. With each project SILO seeks foster an atmosphere of seamless and intensive collaboration with each client, forming a single project team who are committed to achieving maximum results from each project.
SILO is first and foremost interested in experimentation. Our brand of experimentation uses the unique qualities of the site in concert with the functional, budgetary, logistical and aesthetic demands of the project to create extraordinary, if often unexpected results. This rigorous research based process inhibits stylistic preconceptions instead allowing SILO to produce visionary architecture that works.
With permanent offices in Cleveland and Chicago, SILO is currently working on a number of residential, commercial and institutional projects regionally, nationally and internationally.
